This is a stand-alone competition; participants do not have to be on a GIPS team to submit a piece of artwork. The Visual Arts component is designed to offer students with artistic ability an opportunity to participate in the FPSP-Indiana component program.
Students,
dealing with the same topics as those participating on a global issues problem-solving team, will develop an original piece of artwork. The study and research
of the topic is still required, but the format for presenting conclusions and
impressions is a two, three, or four-dimensional piece of artwork rather than
a problem-solving booklet.
Students
may choose to address any of the four current Global Issues Problem Solving
topics for that year. Contact us for those topics.
Divisions
for this program correspond to those of GIPS teams: Junior Division: Grades 4-6, Middle Division: Grades 7-9, Senior Division: Grades 10-12
Registration
forms and artwork photos are due to FPSP-Indiana by March 6 each year.
