This is a stand-alone competition; participants do not have to be on a GIPS team to submit a piece of artwork. The Visual Arts component is designed to offer students with artistic ability an opportunity to participate in the FPSP-Indiana component program.
Students,
dealing with the same topics as those participating on a global issues problem-solving team, will develop an original piece of artwork. The study and research
of the topic is still required, but the format for presenting conclusions and
impressions is a two or three, or four-dimensional piece of artwork rather than
a problem-solving booklet.
Students
may choose to address any of the four current Global Issues Problem Solving
topics. Topics for 2023-24 are Tourism, Antarctica, Urbanization, Autonomous Vehicles
Divisions
for this program correspond to those of GIPS teams: Junior Division: Grades 4-6
Middle Division: Grades 7-9 Senior Division: Grades 10-12
Registration
