Students in grades 4-12 write up to a 1,500-word short story based on one of the yearly topics used in the 4-Person GIPS Team competition. As information is gathered and integrated into the short stories. Students personally experience the impact of applying what they have learned on the topic to the characters in their own story.
Student scenarios are completed and sent to FPSP-INDIANA by the first week of February each year. The First Place Indiana winners in the Junior (grades 4-6) Middle (grades 6-9) and Senior (grades 9-12) will advance to the Internationals Finals in June.
